LET'S RIDE FOR HER: In memory of Bonnie Caruso

When: Saturday, June 15, registration 8 a.m, run starts at 10 a.m. (June 22  is the rain date)

Where: The Run will begin and end at St. Catharines Moose Lodge #936, 92 Permilla St., St, Catharines

Register: $25 per bike, $10 passenger, $100 in pledges rides free. Please register in person at The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #936. Your registration includes morning coffee and snacks plus an end of the ride BBQ.    

The Poker Run for Ovarian Cancer is a fun, non-competitive biking event hosted by the Moose Lodge and coordinated by the Caruso family along with dedicated fellow committee members, family, and friends. The route travels the scenic, picturesque roads of the Niagara region. 

Participants draw cards along the way to make their best poker hand. Once all participants return, the cards are tallied up and prizes are awarded to the top hands. 

In Canada today, there are 17,000 women living with ovarian cancer. Each of these women is central to a family, every one of these women have people who love her. This year, I am taking action.

I am Fundraising because ovarian cancer affects communities. It’s certainly touched our lives, and we need to stop it.

This event is special to me because it honours women and families touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope that we carry with us every day – the hope for a future without this disease.

Every dollar my event raises supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
