I am participating in the Beau's 5K for Ovarian Cancer Canada, a fundraising walk and run in support of Ovarian Cancer Canada and held in honour of my beautiful cousin, Ashley, who attacked ovarian cancer with everything she had but succumbed to this dreadful disease in 2018 after a three and a half year battle. Ashley was only 30 when diagnosed and just 33 when she passed, six weeks after marrying the love of her life.
On June 20, I will walk, alongside my daughter and granddaughter, to raise funds and awareness to overcome ovarian cancer. Funds raised in the Beau's 5K for Ovarian Cancer Canada will be used to support Ovarian Cancer Canada's resources for women living with the disease, education and awareness programs and research grants and programs.
Women deserve better.
