I am participating in the Run for Her in support of Ovarian Cancer Canada, a fundraising trail run in support of Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming ovarian cancer. I am captaining team Cirque du Sore Legs. Which is how we will feel after finishing this beauty trail. Our team will be mostly walking / hiking.
Approximately 3,000 Canadians are diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year. The funds we raise for Ovarian Cancer Canada help champion the health and wellbeing of women living with and at risk of the disease, while advancing research to save lives.
Funds raised at the Run for Her for Ovarian Cancer Canada will be used to help build research capacity, unlock insights into rarer forms of the disease, address urgent needs and bring hope to people across the country.
