In honour of my sister Lizanne who passed away less than two years ago; this Sunday, Val and I will be participating  in the 2024 Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope. While dealing with her own Cancer, Lizanne shared that for too long, Ovarian Cancer was something of an orphan disease which did not attract the attention, nor the research dollars it merited. This was especially the case relating to the early diagnosis which would greatly improve the chances for survival.To the end, Lizanne became a major fundraiser for Ovarian Cancer research, and we would like to continue this effort in her memory.
