Team Glamma
In 2022, our lives changed when our Mom a.k.a. Glamma ("glamorous grandma") was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer. Our family didn’t know much about the disease until we were directly impacted.
We have learned that ovarian cancer is one of the most serious cancers impacting women and people with ovaries. Since symptoms are generic and there are no screening tests, many people are diagnosed in a later stage once detected.
Today, thousands of Canadians are living with ovarian cancer and approximately 3,000 will be diagnosed this year. We want to improve outcomes for everyone affected by it.
Ovarian Cancer Canada is the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease. With your support, we’re funding vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it.
Our Mom has been a source of light, positivity and hope for our family and friends. We hope to spread that light with her and the countless others who are facing this disease.
Please join us by signing up or donating to this important cause. Every dollar counts towards supporting our Mom and the many others impacted by ovarian cancer.
