This walk is not just about raising money and awareness, it is more importantly about honouring the amazing Mom, Wife, Nana, Sister, Friend and WOMAN Bernadette was. Bernadette always loved her walks. She loved them when she was in the prime of her health and would walk for hours, and she loved them when she was fighting cancer and only able to walk down to the end of Groveland. Walking always made her happy. It was good for her soul. So if we can walk, raise awareness for ovarian cancer AND honour Bernadette all at the same time, how awesome is that?
