​We walked together at the 2022 Walk of Hope in Charlottetown and her plan was to walk again in September 2023.  She did not reach that goal.  Under the banner of Joanne's Raspberry Giraffes, I walked on her behalf in 2023 and will do so again this year on September 7th at Victoria Park.  Joanne loved giraffes!  And she often blew raspberries of affection at her loved ones.   By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, I’m honouring Joanne's memory and her determination to beat ovarian cancer. I don't want to see another person go through what Joanne did.  Money raised in Joanne's honour will help fund vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fueling advocacy efforts because everyone deserves to live life to the fullest.
