COEUR - researchers with their heart in the right place
In Canada today, there are 17,000 women living with ovarian cancer. Each of these women is central to a family, every one of these women have people who love her. I have worked in ovarian cancer research over the last three decased This year, I am walking for all the women who have generously participated in our reseasrch program to ensure a brighter future for ovarian cancer patients..
I am walking because ovarian cancer affects communities. I have dedicated a good part of my resesarch career to understanding this disease. I have meet and been inspired by so many women who have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It’s certainly touched my life, and it needs to be stopped.
This walk is special to me because it honours women and families touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope that I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
Please support my Walk by giving generously. Better yet, if you are up for a challenge this September, please consider joining me. Together we can make a difference.
