Welcome to My Personal Page
Geraldine Rumbolt was a beautiful, kind, great sister, wonderful mother, caring wife, loving grandmother, and loyal friend. She passed on to be with Mom and Dad on February 20th, 2013 after a short, hard fought battle with Ovarian Cancer, a silent killer.
The years pile up so quickly that one day you turn around, and realize, my gosh, has it been a year, two years, three....seven years that we spoke last on the phone, or you were up playing darts with your team in Cow Head, or that we were standing united as a family at Dad's grave, then at Mom's grave...you were sick then but didn't know it...and then we were at your grave...carried away by a silent killer.
Then, moments in life come by, like my son's graduation, and I wish you were here, thought you would be, because you were only 53...taken too soon...by a silent killer.
Anyways, we all remember you today, will tomorrow, and always...we will do the Ovarian Cancer Walk for you...and we will educate others about that silent killer so that other women can outsmart it...#PowerfulVoices
Facts:
Today, thousands of Canadians are living with ovarian cancer and approximately 3,100 will be diagnosed this year. It's time to accelerate progress against ovarian cancer. Enough is enough and I’m determined to improve outcomes for all those affected by the disease.
By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, I’m making ovarian cancer a priority. I'm funding vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fueling advocacy efforts because everyone deserves to live life to the fullest.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
The next big breakthrough in ovarian cancer is around the corner. Please donate to my Walk now or sign up to join me because there simply isn’t time to wait. Together, we can improve outcomes – for good.
Thank you for your support. It means the world to me, and everyone affected by this disease.
