September of 2024 will mark 10 years since we lost our mom, Weezie, to ovarian cancer. Because of this, the Walk of Hope on September 8, 2024 is particularly important to me. I often teased Mom about being just a few days younger than Mick Jagger. Like Mick, she would have celebrated her 81st birthday this summer! I wish we could have celebrated it with her.
In her honour, I am participating in and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope. The funds raised will support vital research that will save lives, ensure educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fuel advocacy efforts.
