In the summer of 2014, my mom, Shaun, was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. She battled for 4 years and went to rest in September 2018. My mom's hearts desire was to raise awareness of the symptoms of Ovarian Cancer so other women wouldn't have to battle this terrible cancer. The Walk of Hope was one of her favorite times of the year. It was a time for her to connect with other women who truly understood what battle she was fighting. We will continue to walk in memory of my mom and show up in support of each woman continuing to battle Ovarian Cancer.
Today, thousands of Canadians are living with ovarian cancer and approximately 3,100 will be diagnosed this year. It's time to accelerate progress against ovarian cancer. Enough is enough and our team is determined to improve outcomes for all those affected by the disease.
By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, we’re making ovarian cancer a priority. We’re funding vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fueling advocacy efforts because everyone deserves to live life to the fullest.
Every dollar we raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
The next big breakthrough in ovarian cancer is around the corner. Please donate to our team or join us! We welcome new members, there’s strength in numbers! Together, we can improve outcomes – for good.
Thank you for your support. It means the world to us, and everyone affected by this disease.
