Family and Friends;
I will be joining in the Kelowna Ovarian Cancer Walk Of Hope on Sunday, September 8th in honour of two special women in my life. One is my sister Cynthia, who at the age of 42 succumbed to this dreaded disease. She was living her best life when OVC reared its ugly head and changed her life and her families lives forever. She fought her best fight but succumbed to OV Cancer after a 4.5 year battle leaving 4 children, a husband and many other loved ones behind.
I am also walking for a good friend, who was diagnosed earlier this year with OV cancer and is fighting the fight like the tough woman she is! She is a warrior - she is in battle. She will fight! My friend is receiving treatment options and different chemo's that were not available to Cynthia just 7 years ago - this is progress!
Please consider supporting my Walk of Hope in Cynthia's honour, as well as the current warriors (my friend) of OVC and the future warriors. Every woman with this diagnosis needs us!!
