This will be my 8th "Walk of Hope" this September 8th at Lake Ontario Park. Opening remarks start at 10 am and the Walk begins at 10:15. I thank my family and friends who come out to support this cause.
I just came home from a 6 day stay at Hospital for yet another acute appendicitis which was treated with massive amounts of antibiotics as surgery is not an option, due to adhesions and the peritoneal chemo treatment received in 2017. The last time was in the fall of 2019 where it was a 3 day stay. This time was much worse and needed a more aggressive treatment. Honestly, l feel like a ticking time bomb ready to go off anytime!
Hopefully on the 8th I will feel well enough to walk the walk.
By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, we’re making ovarian cancer a priority. We're funding vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fueling advocacy efforts because everyone deserves to live life to the fullest.
Every dollar we raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
The next big breakthrough in ovarian cancer could be around the corner with your help. Please donate to the Walk now. Together, we can improve outcomes – for good.
My wish for you, is to stay as healthy as possible, and if not, for you to have the help and support from your family and friends.
Thank you for your support. It means the world to me, and everyone affected by this disease.
Hugs and best wishes,
Rosemarie
