Tough as Teal
This Sunday September 10th, we will be walking in honour of our loving wife and mother, Laura Phillips. She was diagnosed with stage 4 high grade serous carcinoma in May of 2020. She received many chemotherapy treatments, surgeries and radiation sessions. She ultimately earned her wings this past March 31st, 2023.
With my mom, we participated in the Walk of Hope in 2020, 2021 and 2022. My mom had a passion for supporting and advocating for Ovarian Cancer Canada. We will continue to walk in honour of her strength, beauty and resilience.
Thank you for honouring our beautiful wife and mother, and all the other women who face this disease.

Today, thousands of Canadians are living with ovarian cancer and approximately 3,000 will be diagnosed this year. It’s time to pick up the pace for ovarian cancer. Enough is enough and my team is determined to improve outcomes for all those affected by the disease.
By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, we’re making ovarian cancer a priority. We’re funding vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fueling advocacy efforts because everyone deserves to live life to the fullest.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
The next big breakthrough in ovarian cancer is around the corner. Please donate to our team or join us! We welcome new members, there’s strength in numbers! Together, we can improve outcomes – for good.
Thank you for your support. It means the world to us, and everyone affected by this disease.
