Every 5 hours, we lose someone we love to Ovarian Cancer in Canada. Ovarian Cancer is the most fatal women’s cancer and sadly, one in two diagnosed do not live to see another five years. Despite this, investment in ovarian cancer research has lagged well behind that of other cancers, such as prostate and breast cancer, both of which have much better treatment outcomes and survival rates. But today - we are paving the way for a brighter tomorrow.
Together let's raise the teal flag and show our support for the women and families affected by ovarian cancer. Our fundraising and participation in the Walk will spur advocacy efforts to provide the best possible care, further scientific progress, and ensure that all those diagnosed know that they are not alone.
Precious lives depend on it, and our community deserves it.
