Back in July of 2021, my my mom was given the devastating news of a stage 4 ovarian cancer diagnosis. Through multiple appointments, chemo treatments, procedures and surgeries, we new the prognosis was not good, but moms positive spirit and strength is what kept us all going through this time. She knew what her future held, but every opportunity she had during those appointments, she would ask physicians if there was any testing which could be done on her to help further research on this horrible disease to potentially help others in the future.

She persisted with these requests up until her final days when she sadly passed on August 11th, 2023. I could not think of a better way to honor her memory then to take part in this Walk of Hope.
