Every dollar supports Ovarian Cancer Canada (OCC), the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
As someone who used to work for OCC and whose family was supported by this organization after my mom’s diagnosis last year, I know the funds are being spent well— supporting patients and their families, researchers, and advocating for increased access to treatment and research funding.
My mom passed away late this summer. She had determination in spades and utilized every resource OCC offered, even when she was too sick to leave the house — reading the books, attending the conferences virtually, and chatting with the women with ovarian cancer who became her friends along the way. The treatments she received gave her time and the support gave her knowledge and hope. OCC is an organization I am proud to have worked for and one I am proud to continue to support.
