Everyone born with ovaries is at risk for ovarian cancer. It is the most fatal women’s cancer, and the reality is that every 5 hours, we lose someone we love to ovarian cancer in Canada. Every one of these women was someone’s daughter, mother, sister, cousin, or friend.

An estimated 3,000 women in Canada will be diagnosed this year. That's 3,000 more women who are depending on us to fuel the next big breakthrough. We have the power to deliver change and transform lives and that’s why I am participating in the 2024 OCC #WalkofHope on Sunday, September 8.

As you know, we lost Carrie last August after a fierce and courageous fight. From the time of her diagnosis she only had 22 months but throughout her battle she never lost her sense of humor or her beautiful smile.  There isn’t a day goes by that I don’t hear her voice in my head, see her face in my dreams and hold her ever so close to my heart.
