Dear Friends –

The 2024 Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope will be both an in person event with a virtual walk.  This year the "Love of Linda" team will once again walk in Schomberg on September 8, walking as a team together wearing our white and teal tshirts with Linda's photo.  The Schomberg community is where Linda's brother and sister-in-law live and they are wonderful hosts for the family and friends that come together. This is the seventh Ovarian Walk of Hope event we have all participated in.  There's a sign on the front lawn for the Love of Linda team announcing our walk, a table of memories set up with photos and albums
and after the walk we come together with good food and fellowship.  This walk both honours Linda's memory and helps to find a cure for cancer. 

We do this event to show how much we care and will do so until a cure is found so no women will have to endure what Linda did so stoically.  While it's been over 6 years since Linda's passing, the memories of good times I had with Linda are always with me and she is still missed so very much!  Remembering Linda like the photo on this page, beautiful, relaxed and happy makes me smile.

Cancer however is brutal but I'm hopeful that one day it will be gone!
