Wendy's Wynners 2024
Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues
Once again I am reaching out, with apology, late in the game to ask for your help. The annual Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope is taking place on Sunday, September 8th in 32 locations across the country. In Toronto, it’s set for Ashbridges Bay at 10:00 a.m. (9:00 welcome).
The first walk was in 2002 – it raised $50,000. Since then, the Walk of Hope has raised over $32 million.
While the actual walk is a great affair and creates some inspiration for many survivors, patients, families and friends, this has become--with COVID, the passage of time and our busy lives—a virtual event for many. I’m on the mend but still trying to get all the right muscles and joints to cooperate. That said, I am a very lucky guy.
I do hesitate about sending this each year, however every time one or two people write or call to say “Thank you for doing this. I have/had a partner/friend/mother who has/had Ovarian Cancer.” We do make a difference.
The incessant efforts of Ovarian Cancer Canada, with its staff and volunteers, are producing important results as more and more doctors devote their practices to the battle against this silent killer. The advances in research as well as better public awareness have changed the battle.
Please take a minute to make a real difference. You can donate (even after Sunday) using:

Thanks so much.
