This has been a hard year. Crystal lost her long battle with ovarian cancer in October and then, in just 5 short months, we lost Daren. He was our captain and fundraiser extrodinaire.  Crystal was a faithful, strong and courageous woman. She previously participated in a study that was partially made possible by your generous donations. In Canada today, there are 17,000 women living with ovarian cancer. Each of these women is central to a family, every one of these women have people who love her. This year, I am walking for Crystal and all women.

I am walking because ovarian cancer affects communities. It’s certainly touched my life, and it needs to be stopped.

This walk is special to me because it honours women and families touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope that I carry with me every day – the hope for a future without this disease.

Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity entirely dedicated to this important cause. Funds will be used to provide support, increase awareness and fund vital research.
