A Walk For My Mom: A Journey of Hope
In November 2008 my life changed forever when I lost my mom to ovarian cancer, a disease my family and I knew very little about. We had 4 short months to prepare for losing her but there was no real way to do it. Watching her battle ovarian cancer was one of the hardest experiences of my life. She was the matriarch of the family and we miss her dearly! On September 8, 2024 I will walk for my mom and all the important women in my life who are or have been affected by this disease.
Ovarian cancer is often called the "silent killer" because its symptoms are easy to miss, and too many women like my mom, are diagnosed when it's already too late. Enough is enough and I'm determined to raise awareness and to contribute to the research that will one day bring an end to it.
I'm asking for your support whether that's through a donation, joining me on the walk, or simply spreading the word. Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease!!! Every step we take brings us closer to a world where no one else has to lose a loved one to ovarian cancer.
The next big breakthrough in ovarian cancer is around the corner. Please donate to my Walk now or sign up to join me because there simply isn’t time to wait. Together, we can improve outcomes – for good.
Thank you for being a part of my journey. Your support means the world to me, and everyone affected by this disease.
It's time to make Ovarian Cancer UNIGNORABLE!
