My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian cancer 30 months ago. Her strength and determination has been an inspiration to us all. Last year she was the top fundraiser for the Ovarian Walk raising over $4000 and I'd like our team to be the highest fund raising team again.
Of the top 10 highest cancer mortality rates in Canada, Ovarian Cancer is one of the least funded. The survival rates have not improved in 50 years, and there has been no significant changes in treatment since the 1990's
By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope, I’m making ovarian cancer a priority. I'm funding vital research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fueling advocacy efforts because everyone deserves to live life to the fullest.
Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
