Monique's Fight Club

In 2018, at the age of 26 I got the news that no 26 year old expects to hear. I was diagnosed with stage 1a mucinous ovarian cancer. At the time, I was fortunate to have had multiple surgeries to remove the cancer and was told it was successful and continued to live the next 5 years of my life with no worry and with very frequent checkups showing I was cancer free.

In the summer of 2023, I started to develop a lingering cough that I thought was environmental related. But CT scans later on in the fall and winter confirmed that my cancer had returned and unfortunately metastasized to my lungs.

At the age of 31, I was told I have stage 4 mucinous ovarian cancer.

Since January, I have been undergoing chemotherapy and have been very fortunate to show that my disease is stable and the chemotherapy is doing its job!

My fight is not over.

As I continue my battle with this disease, I would love to have your support and your generosity in donating towards Ovarian Cancer Canada's Walk of Hope.

Research is such an important role in treatment advancement and the possibility of one day having a cure. Many women are not as fortunate as I am to have treatment thats working.

Any generous donation is greatly appreciated as it is an opportunity and a step in the right direction for myself and for other women who are affected by ovarian cancer and the hope that one day, it won't be a worry anymore.

I would be so so honoured to have you, your friends & family join me and be a part of my "Fight Club" and come together for a very important cause.
