The Ovarian Canada Walk of Hope was founded by Peggy Truscott 20 years ago to create a community of support for women and families living with ovarian cancer. As a healthy 19-year survivor of 3 recurrences living with thousands of women struggling with ongoing disease, I try to make a difference for approximately 3,000 more who will be diagnosed this year.
For the last few years I've walked with "Sue's Teal Falcons", but Sue Doiron lost her battle with this awful disease just after the 2023 Walk.
For my 14th Walk I'll be with "Vals Victorious Gals" and my friend Valerie Stevenson, Sunday, September 8th in the Halton (Burlington) Walk
Ovarian Cancer Canada is the only charity dedicating all funds to help women with the disease, providing support for all affected, and sponsoring many research projects across the country. With help from you OCC can continue to ensure scientific progress and forward momentum against this deadly disease
Over 6 years, our own team "Helen's Heroes" raised $60,000 and I thank you for many years of devotion and caring. Financial support is greatly appreciated by me and everyone affected by this disease.
