Cathie Hong-Louie fought ovarian cancer with stoic and staggering bravery for almost a year. At 57, in November of 2015, ovarian cancer took her life.

Over the past eight years more than 100 people have participated “In Cathie’s Honour” in walks in Vancouver, Ottawa, Hamilton and Toronto.  We have raised awareness and over $42,000 in Cath's name.  In this, our nineth year, we are happy to be walking for her again.

• Women at high risk of ovarian cancer are accessing genetic testing, understanding preventive opportunities, and getting appropriate follow-up care. 
• Ovarian cancer research is advancing faster than ever before changing the landscape of available treatment options
• 25 projects funded that will set the stage for future discoveries
• Six potentially transformative clinical trials underway
• 13 innovative pre-clinical studies in the pipeline
• Ovarian cancer research consortium of 250+ members created
• National team of 20+ Patient Partners in Research created
• 75+ research personnel funded
