A Walk for My Sister, Maribel Oropeo Dizon
Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope event raises vital funds to provide support, raise awareness and fund much needed research into prevention, improved treatments and ultimately, a cure so that we can change the future for the women we love.
This is our 13th year participating in the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope after my sister, Maribel Dizon was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer last December 2011. She passed away last 2017 at the age of 57. A true inspiration to her family and friends. She gave me courage and strengthen my faith when I was diagnosed with the same disease last September 2015. It was early detected and now cancer-free!
I walk because of my sister, Maribel. I walk for those who have been touched by ovarian cancer and celebrates the hope for a future without this disease.
The Walk of Hope, will be held on September 8, 2024 at Queen Elizabeth Park (4600 Cambie Street, Vancouver).
Please provide your support by giving generously. Every contribution counts! Together we can make a difference!
Thank you and God bless.
