Welcome to My Personal Page
Welcome to my page.
In 2017 my sister Donna was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. It marked the beginning of a difficult 2-year battle, one that she faced with courage, optimism and yes, her trademark humor. Losing her was a profound loss, much like losing my own limb.
Walking in her memory is my way to cope with her passing. To me, it's a proactive approach to deal with my grief. I will walk for Donna for as long as my legs can carry me. I walk to keep her memory alive. I will walk to put ovarian cancer out of business. Consider the following fact:
Everyone born with ovaries is at risk for ovarian cancer. It is the most fatal women’s cancer and the reality is that every 5 hours we lose someone we love to ovarian cancer in Canada. That’s why I am participating in the 2024 OCC #WalkofHope on Sunday, September 8th.It's time to pick up the pace with ovarian cancer awareness and research. Every dollar I raise supports Ovarian Cancer Canada, the only national charity dedicated to overcoming this disease.
Please donate to my Walk for Hope. Thank you for your support.
