We are walking for my incredibly brave, strong and courageous mom, Denna who was diagnosed in May 2023 with ovarian cancer and has been undergoing chemotherapy/surgery/immunotherapy ever since. Thousands of Canadians including her are living with ovarian cancer and approximately 3,000 will be diagnosed this year, which often is diagnosed in stages 3 or 4 due to the lack of screening for women in Canada. 

By participating and fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope with help towards research that will save lives, ensuring educational resources and support programs are available for those who need it, and fuelling advocacy efforts because everyone deserves to live life to the fullest, especially my mom. Throughout the past year we have learned (unfortunately first hand) so much about ovarian cancer, experienced how underfunded and under supported this cancer is as well as how very little awareness is spread about this disease.
